The Edwards EST SIGA-HCD Intelligent Multisensor Heat and CO Detector is an addressable life safety detector designed to provide both fire detection and carbon monoxide monitoring in a single device. The detector combines rate-of-rise heat sensing with carbon monoxide (CO) detection, allowing it to identify developing fires while also monitoring for dangerous CO gas levels.
Part of the Edwards Signature Series, the SIGA-HCD collects analog data from its sensing elements and processes the information using an onboard microprocessor. The detector analyzes heat and CO signals independently and compares current readings with historical data to determine whether a fire alarm, CO alarm, or both should be initiated. Digital filtering helps minimize nuisance alarms caused by environmental conditions.
The device also incorporates automatic environmental compensation and continuous self-diagnostics to maintain reliable detection performance over time. Signature Series communication technology supports automatic device mapping and fast, stable communication with the control panel.
The SIGA-HCD is designed for flexible installation using compatible Signature Series bases and supports additional accessories such as relay bases, isolator bases, sounder bases, and remote alarm LEDs.
